RESEARCH GROUP 2: BIOTECHNOLOGY

       Biotechnology is a broad area of biology, involves any technique relating the application of biological organisms or their components, systems as well as processes to manufacturing and service industries make or modify products, to improve plants or animals or to develop micro-organisms for special uses. In the early of this century, biotechnology has expanded to include new and diverse sciences and played an important role in many domains.

       I. Research interests:

       The main goal of the Biotecnology group is to understand the biotechnological application in bio-agricultural, environmental and other fields. Our group focusses on these main topics:

       1. Physiological, biochemical and molecular responses of plant to environmental factors and application in plant sciences, agriculture and forestry

       2. Plant culture and application in plant sciences, agriculture and forestry

       3. Microbial biotechnology and application

       4. Bioinformatics and application
