Scientific research and the transfer of scientific and technological advances into practice is a key factor to promote the development and contribute to brand enhancement of each university. Over the past ten years, the scientific research and technology transferring activities of Hung Vuong University have achieved outstanding results, many practical applied researches have been put to real life. These activities have made an important contribution to the socio-economic development of Phu Tho province in particular and Northern Vietnam in general.

With the motto of "Practical learning - Practical - Practical", Hung Vuong University is an application-oriented training university with flexible training programs, HVU students are not only trained at the school but also in businesses with many scholarship programs, study and practical programs abroad. In the first year, HVU students have been involved in many practical learning activities, visiting and experiencing at corporations, businesses and partners of the university. On the occasions, students are directly observed, exchanged and explored the content, requirements of professional knowledge and skills that businesses require, thereby helping them identify methods and plans to study in the long-term.

Hung Vuong University (HVU), Phu Tho Province was established in 2003 under the Prime Minister's Decision No. 81/2003/QD-TTg on April 29, 2003, on the basis of the Phu Tho College of Education. The establishment of Hung Vuong University is the happiness and pride of the Party Committee, authorities and people of all minorities groups in Phu Tho Province. The Hung Vuong University has two campuses in Viet Tri City and Phu Tho Town.
