Hung Vuong University welcomed Laotian students and officials for Vietnamese studies in the 2023-2024 school year.

     On November 10th, 2023, the university organized a program to receive officials and students from Northern Laos provinces.

The Head of the International Cooperation Department introduced the delegates during the meeting.

     The Lao PDR delegation comprised Mr. Khanthalath Chanthanom - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee of Luong Nam Tha province; Mr. Virasayphone Khamphone - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Sports of U Dom Xay province; Mr. Keokhamchay Phomlue - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Sports of Phong Sa Ly province, along with 16 officials and 17 Laotian students who arrived to study at Hung Vuong University.

Dr. Hoang Cong Kien, Party Committee Secretary and Rector of Hung Vuong University, delivered a speech at the meeting.

     Among the attendees was Mrs. Ta Thi Mai Hong – Vice Director of Phu Tho Department of Foreign Affairs. Representatives from Hung Vuong University included Dr. Hoang Cong Kien, Party Committee Secretary, and Rector; Dr. Tran Dinh Chien - Vice Rector; Dr. Do Khac Thanh - Chairman of the University Council, along with department representatives, lecturers, and Laotian students.

     During his speech, Dr. Hoang Cong Kien - Rector of Hung Vuong University, emphasized that receiving Lao officials and students exemplify the sincere friendship between Vietnam and Laos, fostering close cooperation in cultivating high-quality human resources for Lao PDR. He also highlighted the commitment to fulfilling cooperation documents on training signed between the two sides. Hung Vuong University pledged to create the best learning and living conditions for Laotian officers and students, ensuring a high-quality, healthy learning environment. The program to welcome officials and students from Northern Laos provinces to study at Hung Vuong University was a resounding success. Hung Vuong University believes this collaborative training will significantly strengthen future cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
