The online MOU signing ceremony between Hung Vuong University (HVU) and National Dong Hwa University (NDHU), Taiwan

      On January 12th, 2022, Hung Vuong University and National Dong Hwa University successfully held the Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony about training and science research cooperation.

                                Overview of the online MOU signing ceremony 

      The signing ceremony was held online with the participation of Dr. Do Tung, Vice-Rector and representatives from the International Cooperation Department, Academic Affairs Department, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, lecturers, and staff.

      Attending the signing ceremony, on the side of National Dong Hwa University, there were Dr. Yuan-Ron Ma, Vice President and Dean of International Affairs, and representatives from departments from the university.

      On behalf of the management board, Dr. Do Tung had highly appreciated the significance of the MoU signing between the two sides. He affirmed that this would be an important milestone to promote cooperative relationships for mutual benefits, towards sustainable development. Hung Vuong University has paid attention to establishing and developing the cooperation relationship with international universities, organizations, and enterprises worldwide. In addition, he expressed his desire to implement cooperative activities between the two sides such as: training programs and scientific research; exchanging experts, lecturers and students; other related activities.

 

       NDHU’s Vice President Dr. Yuan-Ron Man had a brief introduction about National Dong Hwa University and emphasized that despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the close relationship between the two universities had been continuously consolidated and developed.

      This cooperation aims to expand international exchanges and cooperation in training and science research. At the same time, it promotes friendly cooperation and mutual understanding between both sides through the following areas:

      (i) Teaching English for students majoring in Information Technology and some related courses on the need of both sides

      (ii) Co-organizing seminars for academic exchange in the field of Information Technology with experts and lecturers.

       (iii)  Coordinating with the Division of Software Engineering on scientific research and training.

       (iv) Coordinating with the Division of Chinese Language and Culture on proposing cooperation programs in training and students exchange programs.

       The two sides committed to direct, support, and deploy cooperation activities and would soon coordinate with partners to build detailed exchange programs for students and lecturers./.
