Delegation of the Department of Education and Sports of Bokeo Province paid a working visit to Hung Vuong University

February 18, 2020, PhD. Hoang Cong Kien, PhD- Rector of Hung Vuong University had a meeting with Mr. Thammavong Vandy - Director of Department of Education and Sports of Bokeo Province. In the meeting, there were Mr. Du Van Quang - Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Phu Tho Province, Leaders of the University, Leaders of departments and faculties.

At the meeting, Hoang Cong Kien, PhD - Rector expressed his warmly welcome to the delegation the Department of Education and Sports of Bokeo Province who are visiting to work with the university. Currently, the total number of Lao students that has been studying at the school is 292 students, including 06 students from Bokeo Province. The Hung Vuong University paid more attention to the conditions of study, research activities, culture and arts, etc. to ensure that Lao students have the good learning environment. The teaching and training have improved significantly in recent years. Many Lao students returned to work, and they have become managers, researchers, key officials at the State management agencies, organizations, units, schools of Laos after their graduation. That will ensure for a long-term cooperation opportunity between Hung Vuong University with Department of Education and Sports of Bokeo Province.

At the meeting, Mr. Thammavong Vandy - Director of Department of Education and Sports of Bokeo Province expressed his delight and excitement at the friendly and warmly welcome of Hung Vuong University. He congratulated the university on the achievements, especially the training of international students, and emphasized that the training of human resources is an especially important task for the development of Laos. The Director of the Department of Education and Sports of Bokeo Province hopes that in the future, Hung Vuong University will coordinate and help train and foster high-quality human resources for Bokeo Province, contributing to tightening the friendship and long-term cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

Both sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on educational cooperation agreement in training and fostering high-quality human resources for Bokeo Province. (i) Department of Education and Sports of Bokeo Province cooperates to create an annual enrollment source for Hung Vuong University according to the information the school provides and coordinates with the University in and training Lao students. (ii) Hung Vuong University is responsible for developing training plans, arranging a team of qualified and experienced lecturers to participate in the teaching; The school ensures institutions in the training, management, maximum support for Lao student in terms of facilities, living conditions, dormitories, organizing cultural and cultural exchange programs, physical training and sports to help Lao students integrate and develop comprehensively.

The meeting between Hung Vuong University and the Department of Education and Sports of Bokeo Province was successful, opening up opportunities for cooperation in the field of training, scientific research and awarded exchange culture between the two units as well as bringing students from the two countries to study and exchange cultures in a modern university environment. At the same time, he affirmed the trust of Laos in general and the Bokeo Province in particular for the quality of Lao students training of Hung Vuong University, contributing to building a good friendship between the two countries.
