Ambassador of Laos PDR in Viet Nam paid an official visiting to Hung Vuong University

     On June 20th, 2022, the delegation of  Laos PDR Embassy in Vietnam led by H.E Mr. Sẻng-Phết Hùng-Bun-Nhuông – Ambassador of  Laos PDR in Vietnam paid a visit to Hung Vuong University. On behalf of Hung Vuong University, there were Dr. Hoang Cong Kien- Rector, Board of management, lecturers, leaders from departments and Laos students studying at Hung Vuong University.

     Dr. Hoang Cong Kien kindly expressed his pleasure to welcome the Ambassador at Hung Vuong University. Following the brief introduction about the university’s development, he expects the Laos embassy to continue supporting in training Laos students at Hung Vuong University.

     As the first public multidisciplinary university in the homeland with a tradition of more than 60 years of construction and development, Hung Vuong University was assigned the task of training qualified human resources by the People's Committee of  Phu Tho province (bachelor's and master's degrees) for the Northern provinces of  Laos from 2008. Up to the academic year 2020 - 2021, the university has been training 309 Lao students from the provinces of Luong Nam Tha, U Dom Xay, Phong Sa Ly, and Bo Keo, Luang Prabang, of which nearly 200 graduates with bachelor's and master's degrees have returned to Laos to work in many important positions at state agencies, social organizations, and businesses.

     The ambassador sincerely thanks for the university’s warm welcome. He highly appreciates cooperation in training Laos students between Hung Vuong University and Northern Laos provinces that contributes to tightening Vietnam – Laos relationship and enhancing the prestige of Hung Vuong University.

     The working of the ambassador and delegation at Hung Vuong University was a great success, an outstanding mark, affirming the importance of the university's positive contributions in  Vietnam - Laos educational cooperation and  fostering the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos./.
